How It Works

Meeting & Submission Rules

11 Meetings Per Year

The DU-ISERC holds at least eleven (11) scheduled meetings in each calendar year for purposes of ethical review.

1st Friday Monthly

Meetings are held every 1st Friday of every month, except in January. Plan your submission around this schedule.

3-Week Deadline

Proposals must reach the Secretariat three weeks before the scheduled meeting date. Ensure protocols are processed before submission.

Decision in 5 Days

The DU-ISERC decision shall be communicated by the Chairperson to the Principal Investigator within five days after the committee meeting.

Important Notes

Additional Guidelines

Ad Hoc Meetings

The DU-ISERC may hold Ad Hoc meetings at such other times as it may deem necessary, outside of the regular monthly schedule.

Decision Communication

The decision of the DU-ISERC on a research or project proposal shall be communicated by the Chairperson to the Principal Investigator within five (5) days after the DU-ISERC committee meeting.

All Communications

All communications regarding submitted protocols, proposals and projects must be directed to the Chairperson, DU-ISERC.
